MicroBlading Training
Frequently Asked Questions
The table below lists the potential earnings from microblading procedures.
You must first obtain a permanent cosmetics certification before you can perform microblading. This includes 100 hours of fundamental training with at least 65 hours of classroom training. Anyone interested in pursuing training in cosmetic tattooing, including microblading, should first check with their state and county regulatory agencies. (See our Permanent Cosmetics Training page for additional details.)
In most states, microblading falls under the definition of “body art” (e.g., tattoo, permanent cosmetics and body piercing). A valid license from your local Board of Health in which your busness resides is required to operate a body art facility.
Live demonstrations on models are performed by the instructor on the second day of training, Hands-on experience is provided in practice labs, but not on live models. Once a student has perfected patterns and this has become a part of muscle memory, an apprenticeship program is offered by Beauty EverLasting and available at $500 per model.
