BE Areola Restoration Training Header2.j

Medical Restoration offers patients the opportunity for restoration through camouflaging and repigmentation of the skin from the affects of alopecia, cancers, burns, and also breast and areola reconstruction. Imperfect skin tone can be restored by using matching color pigment. As with other procedures, several treatments may be necessary to achieve the desired result. Areola restoration is for women who have undergone reconstructive breast surgery, or where a younger-looking areola is desired.

When can I put on make-up after treatment?

Since patient downtime is minimal, makeup can be applied 1 to 2 days after the treatment. Patients should expect to see micro lesions a few days after the treatment and slight redness for up to 1 week depending on treatment parameters.

What kind of post procedure care is required?

Patients should moisturize the treatment area and avoid direct sun exposure. It is also recommended that patients us a good, broad spectrum sunscreen every day. In addition to reducing their future risk of skin cancer, sunscreens also reduce wrinkles and slow the aging process.
