Microneedling can be performed by estheticians, doctors, nurses, medical professionals and permanent cosmetics technicians. For permanent cosmetics technicians, this course is considered an advanced class; completion of Permanent Cosmetics Primary Training is a prerequisite. Estheticians, nurses and medical professionals need to check with their respective licensing organizations to ensure they are within their state’s regulations to perform this procedure.
In most states, CIT procedures are regulated by local boards of health under permanent makeup/tattooing. Regulations will vary by state and local municipalities. Please contact your local board of health to determine legality in your business location.
All students must take an industry-specific blood-borne pathogen class approved by their city, county and state. All health department, OSHA and CDC laws must be followed explicitly. To assist you in compliance with local laws, this class will provide details on client forms, needles, personal protective equipment (required by law) and all other pertinent safe practices information.
CIT is performed with microneedling device. In this class, each student will receive the DermHD™ microneedling pen.
